We warmly invite you to join one of our free meditation workshops! Our approach is simple and heartfelt, offering practical exercises and techniques to help you discover inner peace, joy, and a deeper sense of inner well-being.
Our sessions are light, informal, and enriched with personal stories from our instructors’ own meditation journeys. We also share inspiring insights from the lives of great spiritual figures to uplift and guide your own practice.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and stay warm (or cool) during the session. There’s nothing else you need—just bring an open heart and mind!
What kind of meditation do you teach?
In our beginner classes, we explore a variety of techniques, including:
- Breathing exercises
- Mantras
- Open-eye and closed-eye meditation
- Guided visualizations
- Music and meditation
- Meditation in the spiritual heart
This approach allows you to find the techniques that resonate most with you.
Why do you offer free meditation classes?
Our meditation classes are offered as a service, inspired by Sri Chinmoy’s vision of sharing the joy and peace of meditation freely. We are happy to provide all of our classes at no cost, at any stage.
If I belong to a specific religion, is it contradictory to meditate?
Sri Chinmoy saw meditation as a personal experience of divinity which is compatible with all religions:
“Meditation far surpasses the barriers of religion. One can follow any religion. Meditation is like a school, and religion is like a house. You can go to a school or college no matter which house you live in. Everybody can meditate no matter what religion he belongs to or even if he does not belong to any religion.”
Why attend a class when there are so many online resources?
While online resources can be helpful, attending a live meditation class has unique benefits:
- Shared experience: You’ll meet others who are also learning and facing similar challenges. Seeing how they overcome obstacles can inspire and encourage you.
- Group energy: Meditating with others creates a special sense of oneness and shared focus that often makes meditation feel easier and more uplifting.
- Technology-free zone: A live class helps you step away from screens and distractions, creating a peaceful space to truly focus on your practice.
- Commitment: Attending a class helps establish a regular habit, giving you the structure to build a deeper spiritual practice.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of our classes soon!
